A destination for wine and wide open spaces lovers. 

Epicenter of a multifaceted region, Bordeaux is the ideal starting point to the world famous vineyards of the Médoc, Saint-Émilion, Pomerol but also to the Atlantic Coast and Cap Ferret.

Day 1 : Welcome to Bordeaux

We will meet you at the Bordeaux airport at a predetermined time before transferring you to your hotel in Bordeaux. In the afternoon we will take the opportunity to introduce you to the program and adjust your bike.

Today we cross the center of Bordeaux along the banks of the Garonne before reaching the Entre-deux-Mers where the first vines appear. This geographical area owes its name to its location between two large rivers: the Dordogne to the north and the Garonne to the south. As you approach Saint-Émilion, the landscape becomes more undulating and the vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see. We pass world famous vineyards such as Petrus, Cheval Blanc, Angélus. Only a few more kilometers to reach Pomerol and of course we will enjoy a wine tasting!

Route: Option 1 : 50 km / 400 m Elevation Gain – Option 2 : 70 km / 500 m Elevation Gain

Accomodation: Hotel Renaissance 4* – Bordeaux

After a short transfer we ride through the famous wine region of the Médoc, between the vineyards and the Gironde estuary. This ride takes us along the world famous Bordeaux estates, including Châteaux Mouton Rothschild, Lafite Rothschild, and Château Margaux. After the wine tasting we return to our hotel where you can enjoy the gardens and relax.

Route: 60 km / 300 m Elevation Gain

The Gironde coast is the scene of our last ride, here the Atlantic Ocean is sometimes turbulent. Between pine forest and dunes, we are heading to Cap Ferret. At the end of the Cape, the Dune du Pilat stands in front of us on the other side of the strait, marking the entrance to the Bassin d’Arcachon and the Ile aux Oiseaux.
