The Tarn is above all the sweetness of life so much its landscapes and its climate are pleasant. It is also a palette of colors oscillating between the red of the bricks of the old town of Albi, the blue of the river Tarn and the green of the Gaillac vineyard. Here small perched villages, the “Bastides” punctuate the horizon: Puycelsi, Castelnau-de-Montmiral, Cordes-sur-Ciel. Built between the 10th and 13th centuries on a precise and original plan, these villages respond to political and economic characteristics. As for the city of Albi, it straddles both banks of the Tarn river, offering visitors many points of view on its historical center: the Saint Cecile cathedral which is the largest brick cathedral in the world, but also the episcopal city, listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.

    After having skirted the Tarn river we cross it when we enter Gaillac, this city gave its name to the millennial vineyard. Through the countryside we continue towards Castelnau-de-Montmiral, its medieval alleys and the Place des Arcades. To conclude this day, the village of Puycelsi, which like Castelnau is classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France.
