A journey through the best spots of Provence

A cycling trip in Provence is the ultimate way of life: the scents of lavender and scrubland, the singing of cicadas, sunny cuisine, and Chateauneuf du Pape wine tasting… An atmosphere that you will enjoy every single day during your tour. Visit the Abbey of Sénanque, the beautiful villages of the Luberon, the troglodytic habitat in Les Baux-de-Provence, the Pope Palace in Avignon, a morning market in Saint Remy de Provence…

From the summit of the Mont Ventoux, the panorama opens onto the Alps and the Mediterranean. All around Mont Ventoux, under its bare top, lie the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Gorges de la Nesque, orchards, olive trees, lavender fields and world famous vineyards (Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes-de Venise), and some of the most beautiful villages in France.

Supported Tour

The perfect balance between autonomy and assistance.

Thanks to the simplicity of use of the biking GPS, which we include, you can enjoy your day the way you want. We suggest places for lunch and dinner as well as the activities not to be missed on the itinerary we have created.

A support vehicle (van) and its driver-guide will accompany you. It will pick you up on the first day at the meeting place and drop you off at the end of your stay. At each stage, he transfers your luggage. For more security and comfort, the van is at your disposal for the duration of your trip. It will stay nearby to provide you with supplies, to solve any mechanical problems or to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in case of fatigue or capricious weather. Finally, since we choose to offer you the most beautiful itineraries, it sometimes requires a transfer to make the junction between two stages.

Our trips are privatized, offering you the guarantee to travel in small groups with your friends or family.

    BIKe itinerary

    Welcome to Provence

We will meet you at Marseille Airport at 2 pm before taking you to your hotel in Saint-Remy-de-Provence. We take advantage of this first day to adjust our bikes, discuss the stay and explore the beauty of this village, which smells of Provence: café terraces caressed by the sun, a network of alleys leading to squares decorated with fountains,.. not to mention the Roman ruins, nestled at the foot of the limestone hills, witnesses of a rich past. This painting does not fail to seduce the artists who settle here in great numbers, following in the footsteps of Van Gogh and the composer Charles Gounod.

    Saint Remy de Provence LOOP

Perched on its eagle’s nest, the wonderful fortified village of Les Baux de Provence gives itself impregnable airs. Explore its narrow cobbled streets and the remains of the castle and enjoy the charm of this corner of paradise as you listen to the old stones serenely recount their past glory. Les Baux is also home to the monumental Light Quarries (Carrières de Lumières).

The long option also takes us to Arles, a city of art and history, famous for its ancient remains from the Roman Empire.

    Les Taillades > Gordes

We penetrate the world famous Luberon valley and explore scenic roads and perched villages such as Oppède-le-Vieux, Ménerbes and Roussillon on our way to Gordes.

With its narrow streets, its intertwined houses brushed with ochre, competing in colour and harmony, its galleries where artists and potters exhibit their creations, the village of Roussillon is a constant delight.

Gordes, perched on its cliff, dominates the valleys and facies the Luberon. The village offers to the sun its cobbled streets where it is nice to get lost.

    Gordes Loop

Nestled in a small valley on the edge of lavender fields, the Abbey of Senanque is part of its environment, between stone and vegetation. It is one of the purest witnesses of early Cistercian architecture. Nowadays the places are still in use and even inhabited by Cistercian monks as a place of retreat.

The village of Fontaine de Vaucluse had the privilege of giving its name to the department (Vaucluse) which means the enclosed Valley, at the bottom of which mysteriously rises the Sorgue. An enchanting site.

    Gordes > Seguret

With magnificent views of the Mont Ventoux, this itinerary will take you to the Dentelles de Montmirail, Vaison-la-Romaine and other villages secretly nestled at the foot of cliffs such as Seguret.

    Mont Ventoux Loop

Today is the opportunity to challenge the Mont Ventoux, also called “the giant of Provence”. It is here that the Tour de France wrote its legend, it is the mythical summit that every cyclist dreams of conquering.  You can decide to end your ride at the top or to ride the way back to the hotel along the Gorges de la Nesque to finish this incredible day.

    Mazan > Chateauneuf-du-Pape

This morning we will follow the Côtes du Rhône Wine Route for a brilliant finish with a wine tasting in the famous village of Chateauneuf-du-Pape to extend our pleasure. The popes of Avignon contributed to the development of the Chateauneuf vineyard, From the papal fortress, superb view over the whole way we have accomplished this week.

We will transfer you to Avignon in the afternoon and explore this city full of history and life. From medieval houses and alleys to Renaissance mansions, through all its beautiful and old squares, city of the popes, city of art and culture, the Capital of Provence, is a small town that has all the characteristics of a big one
